Background

Dr. Yip has published close to 100 research articles and is a world renowned specialist. Prior to going into private practice, Dr. Yip was an Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Prince of Wales Hospital and participated in extensive research in various fields especially the knee and shoulder. After leaving Hong Kong in 1998, he joined Gleneagles Hospital as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Dr Yip is a Founding Member Of Asian Association For Dynamic Osteosynthesis, an Honorary Faculty Member of the Interdisciplinary Centre For Musculoskeletal Bioengineering and Rehabilitation Technology and the Hong Kong Medical Association.

Dr. Yip received his medical  degree from St. Thomas’ Hospital London, England and went on to finish his post-graduate training in London. Afterward, Dr. Yip received his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and worked in a number of hospitals throughout England before relocating to Hong Kong.

There he became an Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Price of Wales Hospital and participated in research in a number of fields, particularly knee and shoulder conditions and treatment. When he left Hong Kong in 1998, Dr. Yip became a part of the Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. Along with general orthopaedic work, Dr.Yip has especial interest in shoulder and knee surgery.

Dr. Yip’s main areas of interest are knee and shoulder surgery.
